Happy winter to one of the most beautiful places on earth! I am a 20-plus-year annual tourist in mostly fall and winter (which I do not have in San Diego) and the raising of the hospitality tax is fine – pay to play.
It will not stop my yearly trek to the “real” mountains.
San Diego, too, is a tourist destination, and our tax on lodging is 10.5%. That does not seem to stop anyone.
I hope it passes, for the betterment of Durango.
