Roaring Fork hands DHS boys soccer side its 1st defeat

The Durango High School boys soccer team found itself on the wrong end of a one-goal game against Roaring Fork on Saturday.

The Demons defeated Basalt 1-0 on Friday, then fell to the Rams 1-0 on Saturday, according to Maxpreps.

No statistics were immediately available.

It was the first time DHS has been shut out in 2013, as well as the Demons’ first loss.

DHS (2-1) defeated Hinkley in its opening game.

Roaring Fork won its second consecutive game after opening the season with a 2-1 loss at Basalt.

The Demons will host Montezuma-Cortez at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Riverview Sports Complex in their Southwestern League opener.
