Save the planet: Vote Democrat

Earth is at a tipping point. If humanity manages to survive the environmental apocalypse that all accredited scientists predict awaits us, and whose harbinger we can plainly see in the rampant species extinction currently occurring, any surviving humanity will look back in absolute disbelief. They will not be able to fathom that even though we recognized our fate and had the means to change it, we elected not to. I choose the word “elected” since we have an election coming up. I am all for historic conservative principles such as self-sufficiency, capitalism, and conservation (an oxymoron if there ever was once when it comes to the modern-day GOP), but until today’s Republicans get their collective heads out of their rears and recognize the challenges the planet faces, I will be voting 100 percent Democrat. I suggest you do the same if you care about your children and grandchildren.

They say that admitting you have a problem is the first step in recovery. The right-wing radicals who have stolen the GOP are in obvious denial. This country was founded by intellectuals – leaders and heroes who are turning over in their graves at witnessing how the Republican Party seems to have adopted the credo “stupid is right,” as it attempts to relate to the poorly educated masses of the American electorate. Remember Romney making fun of climate change science at his convention? He actually told a global warming joke and the brainwashed masses of right wingers laughed it up. That is scary. Make no mistake: Until short-sighted corporate greed ceases to guide the GOP, a vote for modern day Republicans is a step toward extinction.
