Steamworks steps up its glass game

Steamworks Brewing Co.’s new glassware is designed to release a beer’s aromas, accommodate a proper head and keep the beer cool.

Steamworks Brewing Co. is now serving its beers in new, contemporary glassware. Craft Master Grand features a wide bowl and flared top that releases aromas and accommodates a proper head, while a heavy base ensures a stable, well balanced glass.

In addition to the new shape of the pint glass, the base features a rendering of the mountains viewed from Steamworks’ back deck, based on a photo taken by Scott DW Smith. The mountains remain white when cold.

In the new glass, beer stays colder longer than it would in a traditional, straight-walled pint glass, which would absorbs the beer’s chill and warm it more rapidly.

The new glassware was co-designed by Grandstand and Rastal.

Steamworks, 801 East Second Ave., recently ordered 42 additional cases to meet with the sales demand, as they have become popular souvenirs.
