Time for change at Sheriff’s Office

I have been employed at the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office for 26 years. During my employment, I have worked in every division within the Sheriff’s Office, excluding the transport division. I am currently an investigative sergeant. I have worked for Duke Schirard for 20 years. I appreciate the fact Duke has allowed me to prove myself and progress within the Sheriff’s Office. That being said, it is time for a change in leadership at the Sheriff’s Office.

I have a unique perspective concerning the internal workings at the Sheriff’s Office that the general public is not privy to. Based on what I know and what I have seen, a change in leadership is overdue. Sean Smith is, without question, the best candidate to lead the Sheriff’s Office going forward. La Plata County residents deserve and need a dedicated, progressive, fiscally responsible, professional and well-versed leader.

That individual is Sean Smith. There has been a great deal of debate about Smith’s stance on the Second Amendment and concealed weapons. I can say, without reservation, that Smith supports both issues. Vote Sean Smith for the next La Plata County sheriff.
