Today’s news harkens the 1980s

Oh, to be back in D’wanger to mock the news in “S’no News” at the Follies. I remember the sheriff’s department back then when the sheriff was of the same name as me, Al Brown, and I’d introduce myself as “Al Brown, not the sheriff.” At that time (the ‘80s), the undersheriff made more money than the sheriff and ran against Al Brown, making both of us indignant: How dare someone try to impinge our good name while trying to make less money?

But the final act in the drama came about when the entire La Plata County Sheriff’s Department arrested itself when it was learned that tight brown pants excite high school girls. Back then, law and order was more than a TV show.
