What beautiful hearts you have, Durango

The Ryder family wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to Durangoans for their sympathy and condolences in light of our dear Greg’s death.

We – his brother, Noel, and I – witnessed his childhood evolve into the life he lived in Durango, but you have been with him his whole adult life.

He loved Durango. He loved his friends there. He loved singing wherever he could sing and to whomever would listen. He loved skiing and golf. And he loved it all with Julie.

He is being missed by all of us.

Greg made a beautiful life for himself but it surely took your gorgeous town to complete his goals.

We also need to say that we hold no animosity toward the driver. This was not a hateful, intentional act. Mistakes happen to all of us. We carry him and his family in our hearts, too.

We hope to meet you sometime when a memorial service occurs. In the meantime, we thank Rod Barker and all of you for the stunning musical tribute held at the Strater hotel. We watch it over and over and over and over.

What beautiful hearts you have!

With much gratitude –

Susan Ryder
