The Durango High School softball team’s scheduled Southwestern League doubleheader with Montrose on Saturday at Aspen Field was postponed because of rain.

The first game began as scheduled at 10 a.m. at Aspen Field at Fort Lewis College but didn’t last long enough to become official.

Durango head coach Mike Cioppa said no dates have been set yet to replay the games, adding that the schools’ athletic directors are working toward finding a date serviceable for both squads.

The Demons (2-6, 1-6 SWL) will head to Delta for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. Friday.
